Westgate Laboratories provides this website for informational purposes to assist users in managing parasite control for their animals. While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee that all content is always complete, current, or error-free. 

We may update website content at any time without prior notice. Any information on this site is for general guidance only and should not be considered a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Westgate Laboratories is not responsible for any consequences arising from the use of this information. 

  1. Customer Accounts

To register as a customer, you must provide a valid email address and keep your details up to date. 

You agree to: 

  • Choose an appropriate username that does not infringe on the rights of others. 
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with others. 
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Westgate Laboratories is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. 

Data We Collect: 

  • Customer details, including name, email, and postal address. 
  • Information about the animals tested, such as name, age, weight, height, breed, health status, and test results. 
  • Payment details (processed securely, not stored by us). 
  • Communications and service requests from customers. 

How We Use Your Data: 

  • To provide our services, including test results and parasite control advice. 
  • To send essential service notifications (emails, letters, texts, or phone calls). 
  • With your permission, to send reminders for routine tests. 
  • Inform you of technical, administrative, or legal notices related to our services. 
  • Conduct internal research and service improvements. 
  • Send marketing messages (only with your consent). 

You can update your preferences regarding marketing messages at any time via your online account or by contacting us directly. 

Data Retention & Research Use 

  • Identifiable data is stored for up to 10 years, after which it is securely deleted. 
  • Anonymized test results may be used for research purposes.

  • Service disruptions beyond our control. 

Our total liability to you, if any, will not exceed the amount paid for our services. 

  1. Subscription Services - Equine & Poultry

By subscribing to our services, you agree to ongoing monthly payments until cancellation. Payments will be charged to your chosen payment method on the same date each month. 

  • Minimum Subscription Period: Three months. 
  • Cancellations: You may cancel any time after the first three months. Early cancellations will incur a £45.00 administrative fee. 
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for cancellations. 
  • Subscription Changes: You may switch plans after three months. Further changes require an additional three-month period. 
  • Price & Plan Changes: We may adjust pricing or plan details with at least 30 days' notice. 

Subscriptions do not include wormers to treat parasite burdens, nor do they guarantee protection from parasites.

  1. Equine Care Plans

Our equine subscription plans provide parasite testing based on risk factors. 

  • Complete Care Plan: Worm egg count tests sent every 2 months for young and high-risk subscriptions and every 3 months for healthy adults.  Equisal test sent every 6 months.  £25 credit for other incidental tests per horse per year. 
  • Essential Care Plan: Worm egg count tests sent every 2 months for young and high-risk subscriptions and every 3 months for healthy adults.  £10 credit for other incidental tests per horse per year. 

Each plan includes a set number of parasite tests per year. Additional tests beyond this limit may be subject to additional charges. 

Test results will be provided within 24 hours of receipt for worm egg counts and 7-10 working days for Equisal saliva tests. 

  1. Poultry Subscription Plans

Poultry subscriptions provide regular parasite testing based on best practices. 

  • Each subscription covers an individual bird or a small group of up to five birds. 
  • Worm egg counts are provided every three months. 
  • £10 credit for other incidental tests per subscription per year.   

Additional tests beyond the plan allowance may incur extra charges. 

Test results will be provided within 24 hours of receipt unless otherwise notified. 

  1. Account Credits & Overpayments

If you have an account credit due to an overpayment or other adjustment: 

  • Pay-as-you-go account credits are valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue. 
  • Customers can apply these credits toward future services or request a refund within the validity period. 
  • If unused, or if no refund is requested within 12 months, the remaining balance will be donated to a registered charity of Westgate Labs' choice. 
  • Voucher credits are non-refundable but will be honoured for up to 12 months from the date of issue.

  1. Other Refunds and Returns

Website transactions are protected by The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. 

  • You have 14 calendar days to cancel the order from the day you receive the goods. Once you inform us that you wish to cancel, you have 14 days to return the item. 
  • We must issue a full refund (including standard delivery charges) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return. 
  • Unless previously agreed with us in writing, you pay for return postage. 
  • All other returns and refunds are at the company's discretion. 
  1. Data Security & Cookies

We implement security safeguards based on industry standards to protect your data. However, we cannot guarantee 100% security of any data transmitted online.
