We have been working with Westgate Labs since 2014 when Austin Davis Biologics launched the EquiSal Tapeworm test. They were one of the first companies to recognise the importance of saliva testing for tapeworm and were quick to provide our service to their customers.

We’ve been working closely with Westgate for nearly as long as they’ve been in business. Throughout that time the service they offer has been invaluable in helping us to manage parasite control for the 200 plus horses in our care at Remus Horse Sanctuary.
Many of our rescues come in with worm burdens that need addressing; on an ongoing basis we use targeted programmes to support the herds, by testing and treating accordingly while minimising the chemicals we give.

I think carrying out a worm count is the way forward to ensure your horse is happy and healthy at the end of the day they cant tell you they have worms so this is good way of knowing exactly what is happening inside your horse.
