We're recruiting for an Assistant Lab Technician
Are you practical, hardworking and interested in animal health? We’re looking for a reliable person with an eye for detail to join our friendly laboratory team. No previous experience is necessary as full job training will be given, just a willingness to learn and a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work is required.
Westgate Laboratories is a small family business that specialises in helping horse owners to manage the parasite control of their horses and other grazing animals. Our award winning laboratory offers a postal worm count and testing service that enables carers and keepers to target the wormers given to horses and keep them as healthy as possible.
We are seeking an assistant technician for our busy laboratory to help in the processing, testing and recording of animal samples. Your support will be critical to help deliver the outstanding customer service that is the corner stone of the laboratory service. The successful applicant will be proficient in the use of basic computer processes and able to work effectively in a small team.

Job Details
35 hours per week, 9am – 4pm, Monday - Friday
Starting salary: £8 per hour
Based at Westgate Laboratories, near Morpeth, NE61 3AZ
