Walking for World Horse Welfare

25 miles for 25 years!
The team at Westgate are in training to complete a 25 mile walk on the 15th of June this year. The aim is to raise vital funds for World Horse Welfare, a charity very close to their hearts, and to get fitter and healthier along the way! This year is Westgate's 25th anniversary so it's fitting to walk 1 mile for every year in business.
Not everyone is used to walking longer distances let a lone a marathon, so this will be a challenging milestone to aim for alongside the busy lab work. With a training plan in place to ensure everyone gets to the start line in the best shape possible, the team are up to the challenge despite the wet conditions and tricky terrain underfoot. Injuries willing the goal is to see the majority over the finish line with the remaining team supporting the all important logistics for health and welfare and joining in the celebrations at the end!
