"I sent a sample and haven’t heard anything...."

You should expect your test result to be available within a couple of days of it arriving at the laboratory, (often the same day). If a week or more goes by then something has gone wrong.

Did you remember to include your contact details? In your rush to the post this can be overlooked and we have no way of knowing who you are or how to get in touch.

Did you use the correct postage?  The way post is charged has changed in recent years >> see the Royal Mail site here. Insufficient postage means that the samples will be delayed and surcharged by Royal Mail. We have to collect them from the office miles away.

Emailed results sometimes go astray. Check your spam filter and make sure we can get through to you.

If you are expecting a result by phone we may have left a message on your machine.

Occasionally a sample is lost in the post but thankfully not too often.

*We try to answer your call in person but are sorry that we are sometimes unable to come to the phone when working in the lab. Please do leave a clear message on our 24 hour message machine and we will return your call.
